In Flight to Israel – A Pleasant Surprise
On my flight to Tel Aviv, I sat next to a young anesthesiologist from Romania who turned out to be quite sociable! She was very interested in my graduate research on renal cancer and renal transplant imaging diagnostics and asked many questions. It was delightful to discuss medical research with someone who is involved in the field and understands the difficulties present with clinical studies and who grasps the significance of the work. I don't think I have ever flown on an airplane and talked with someone the ENTIRE time. It was really cool.
Tel Aviv – FINALLY...No More Airplanes
I finally made it to Israel! Hallelujah! Landing around 11:30pm local time, I was excited to be done traveling. I left the airport and went to Jerusalem to stay the night at the Holy Land Hotel. I was exhausted but excited and it was very difficult to sleep my first night in Israel. But at last, I am here and I am officially beginning my journey through the Bible lands. Tomorrow will be the first day of many to come.
